Andy was a musician and managed rock bands in New York City. Pat was an artist from Ottawa. (Note the paint brushes on the oriental rug.) They met and married at Taylor Camp and have been together ever since.
“My sister, Marie, got together with Andy’s best friend, John. Andy was back on the Mainland—on the road with a rock band. I was at a point where I was thinking, ‘Maybe I should leave Taylor Camp and go back to Canada. Get myself situated. Maybe my time is running out here and it's time to go.’ But John kept saying, ‘No, you can't go. Wait—you should get together with Andy. It'd be so perfect. I think you'd really get along great with him.’ And I would say to John, ‘What? No. Uh-uh. I know who Andy is. He's older than me, and I don't think he's that interested in me at all.’
“But John kept pushing and going, ‘No, no. You and Andy. You'd be perfect. You and Andy. You'd be perfect.’ — Pat Leo
