About Prints and Ordering

PHOTO PRINTS

Prints are on Hahnemuhle heavy weight (315 gsm) 100% archival cotton “Photo Rag Baryta”, using archival inks and archival spray coating for a life of 200-years before any deterioration of the print will be observed when stored, handled and displayed under archival conditions.
John prints, titles, dates, signs and archival coats all of his photos.

FRAMED PRINTS

John’s prints (as described above) are framed to meet all Library of Congress standards with non-glare, UV protected Museum Glass over 100% Cotton RagMat and backing board. The matting adds approximately 20% around the print size, with a traditional bevel-cut. The black wood frame is approximately a .5-inch wide and 1-inch deep.

CANVAS PRINTS

What is often called “Gallery Wrap Canvas” is a fine art inkjet (Giclee) print, on canvas, with printed edges to wrap around a wooden stretcher frame, like a painting. Canvas can also be rolled and shipped with no effect to the print. Then, your local framing shop should be able to mount the canvas to stretchers for you at a fraction of the cost of traditional framing, making for an overall more economical way to get fine art on your wall. The canvas is printed to wrap around a 1-inch stretcher (1.5-inches on larger sizes). Specifications will be provided with your order. Feel free to contact us if you need guidance with your canvas order.

CANVAS SIZES: With canvas prints, your print image is still the same size, but not "on paper" the canvas print is given a printed "wrap effect" around the edges to account for the thickness of the stretcher.

STRETCHED CANVAS: We do offer a “Canvas - Stretched” option if you prefer, so your artwork arrives ready to hang on your wall.

ORDERS

PHOTO PRINT ORDERS

All orders are custom printed using a two day process. Day 1: Print, dry, title, and sign. Day 2: Archival coat, and cure. Orders are added to our queue in the order received. Please allow a week to process, print and ship your order.

ROLLED vs FLAT SHIPPING

ROLLED: Small size prints ship flat by standard. For larger prints, we ship rolled and sealed in sturdy shipping tubes. If a print is properly rolled and not overly tightened, it has little effect on the print. It can be pressed flat and framed with no noticeable difference to the print. Prints can be rolled two-per-tube, so shipping is the same in quantities of two. Shipping costs are shown after entering a shipping address.
FLAT: Some collectors prefer to not have their prints rolled, so we also offer flat shipping. Shipping flat can cost nearly twice as much as shipping rolled. Although, multiple prints can be shipped in a single flat package, so if you are ordering multiple quantities (usually more than four), flat shipping may make economical sense. Shipping costs are shown after entering a shipping address.
