The Big House belonged to the Green sisters, Teri and Debi (AKA the Sin Twisters).  Dana was their nanny/housekeeper and Karma was the daughter of their neighbor Sharon.

Richard Duncan and Doug Keeney built The Big House to be a party house.  It was the biggest house in camp.   Debi was Doug’s girlfriend.  Richard left for India, Doug moved to Oahu and Teri and Debi had the house to themselves. Teri was 22 and Debi 20. They were both neat, clean, artistic, and strong willed.  So, they installed a door on The Big House and put an end to the free-for-all parties—they became well organized and sophisticated.

As Debi explained, “We didn’t want just anybody walking in and planting themselves uninvited, sitting naked on our cushions.  That was going against the culture of the camp, the unwritten rule that everybody was welcome everywhere, but eventually people accepted it.”

Teri got together with Rosey and they had Emma and Kolo. Roger moved in with Debi and they had Aura. Three cousins under one roof

“We always had a lot of food,” said Debi. “John Wehrheim used to show up every Saturday like clockwork at about 3:00 saying, ‘I’ll be here 24-hours,’ because he wanted the sunrise and sunset light...he slept over. Those dinners were fabulous! We always had a nice big dinner. We were pretty family oriented, maybe because we were sisters.”
